8U baseball players world champion

The Curaçao team of baseball players aged 8 years and younger (U8) have won the Cal Ripken U8 World Series 2024. In the final, the team Starke-Bradford from the US was defeated 9-8 in Ocala, Florida.
The Curaçao team has impressed in Florida. The boys showed resilience throughout the Cal Ripken World Series and never gave up when they were behind.
The young baseball players have won six games and suffered only one loss. They have been led to the Cal Ripken U8 world title by manager Ryan Ilario and coaches Jermaine Esprit, Timothy Juliana and Jair Quandt.
The team consists of the following baseball players: Tkaëy Juliana, D’vionne Martie, Q’shaun Janga, Rayner van Heydoorn, Jeneav Esprit, Jamir Castañera, Marglenrick Wanga, Zayendrick Roosberg, Quayshon Senior, Shu’reauh Hart, Zane Doran, Ethan Lanoy , I’Dior Ignacio and David Pieternella.
The Cal Ripken 8U World Series started on August 1 and ended over the weekend. This division falls under the Babe Ruth League, which is for baseball players from 4 to 18 years old. Four Cal Ripken divisions fall under the Babe Ruth League: U8, 9-11 years, 10 years and 12 years.
