Sta Rosa Indians has got off to a good start in the Curaçao baseball championship. The team won its third game yesterday, Sunday, May 28, 2023. Marchena Braves was defeated 11-3, giving the Indians the lead with three wins without a loss.
The kick-off of the 2023 local baseball championship took place on Saturday, May 20. The opening game was played at Tio Daou Ballpark and was between Sta Maria Pirates and Wild Cats. This match in a win for the Pirates: 12-9
The competition continued with two games the following Sunday, May 21. Marchena Braves lost 2-5 to Royal Scorpions, while Sta Rosa Indians was the better team against Groot Kwartier Stars 16-6.
Wild Cats was able to defeat Marchena Braves 10-0 on Tuesday, May 23. Groot Kwartier Stars defeated Sta Maria Pirates 9-8 on Wednesday, May 24. On Thursday, May 25, Sta Rosa Indians registered its second win of the competition by defeating Royal Scorpions, 4-3.
Next, Wild Cats also registered its second victory of the season, this time beating Groot Kwartier Stars 13-3 on Saturday, May 27. In the first game played on Sunday, May 28, Sta Rosa Indians claimed its third win by defeating Marchena Braves 11-3. Sta Maria Pirates then registered its second win by beating Royal Scorpions 15-12.
The Curaçao baseball championship continues tomorrow, Tuesday, May 30, with the game between Wild Cats and Sta Rosa Indians. This match starts at 7:30 PM at the Tio Daou Ballpark.
